NYC Public Library
I just love these lions that sit on the steps of the New York public library. During some renovations to the library, they put hard hats on these lions ... and then, holiday wreaths around their necks. These felines are definitely New Yorkers. I never did get the mouth right, though. It looks like he’s just eaten a canary.

More lions. I couldn’t resist. I thought it was funny how everyone — including the lions — was sitting on various stoops, stairs, cafe chairs and walls watching the world walk by on Fifth Avenue (at 42nd Street). I’m sure those lions have seen it all. Great day in Manhattan.
