Tugboat

The local papers said “A Gathering of the Tugboats.” I had to go. In Waterford, NY they’ve restored part of the famous Erie Canal. And that’s where all the tugs were moored that day. Twenty or more. Tugs for working, tugs for playing. Every size and shape and color. I found a large box on the afterdeck of a nearby railroad barge, sat on it and drew this sketch of the lovely “Cheyenne.” Great day.
